I think that you should leave whatever background was in images like these... and let users crop it. Having already cropped it gives it a rather hard edge, and (in cases like this) a weird discoloration as well...
I understand some backgrounds look weird for the image itself, but since it's stock, it's ok if the users need to edit things out... and that way, they can edit it to their liking and how it will work in THEIR image...
there is nothing around the bag cropped or changed. I put black at the top of the image by my hand becuase there was a person in the background who was not interested in being in anyones manipulations and not the stock I was offering. the backdrop behind the actual back is a blue felt like blanket.
